Minka Boddé-Phillips

minka-newMinka Boddé-Phillips began practising law in 1995 after being a foundation pupil at the Waikato University Law School and graduating from the University of Auckland. She has always been involved in litigation work and received wide general experience in both Auckland and Rotorua. From September 2009 until September 2015, (most recently as Partner of Phillips Hosking Family Law), she has focussed on all areas of Family Law and become a LEADR accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Provider with Family Works. She has also continued to develop a civil litigation practise.

In 2015, having rebranded as Phillips & Co Law Ltd, Minka has been involved in a number of High Court cases and Trans Tasman proceedings both here and in Australia. Minka is excited about business and continuing to provide the best possible service for clients both locally and further afield.

Out of work, Minka enjoys watching and supporting her own family to grow and enjoy a life of outdoor living, books, sport, laughter and love.


no3Bridget Lewis graduated in 2012 achieving her law degree while working full time in various Government organisations, including the Ministry of Justice.  Another Rotorua local, Bridget is of Ngati Kahungungu, Rongomaiwahine, Tuhoe and Te Arawa descent.

Having practiced Family Law in Whakatane, Bridget was keen to return home to Rotorua and a community she has always been passionate about. She enjoys the diversity of law office life where no weeks are the same and she is able to assist clients with different issues each day. She understand the importance of healthy family relationships and is always keen to represent her clients to the best standard possible.

In her other life she lives with her fiancee and gorgeous pre-schooler while enjoying the local kapahaka scene and the family lifestyle Rotorua has to offer.


Te Kahui is the newest member of the Phillips & Co team having spent time in the Property Law teams of O’Sullivan Clemens and East Brewster. Of Ngati Tuwharetoa, Ngati Porou and Ngati Maniapoto descent, Te Kahui is fluent in Te Reo Maori.

While having experience in Property Law, she is excited about expanding her career into Family Law, meeting a wide range of people and providing assistance wherever possible.

In Kahui’s other life she enjoys spending precious time with her whanau and friends.  She loves the outdoors and shopping.

Sam Pilisi

Sam Pilisi is our Personal Assistant “Extraordinaire” and manages the smooth running of the office, reception and administration matters. Having spent more than 2 years working for the Ministry of Justice, most recently as a Court Registrar, she is always able to offer great support to our staff and clients.

Having been a Personal Assistant for almost 5 years over her career, she knows how to efficiently manage the daily office tasks, client care, accounting practices and workflow of the Solicitors. Sam loves a challenge and is enjoys the variety of work, learning and career development that goes with an always changing workload and fun, energetic team.

In her other life, Sam loves hanging out with her whanau, heading to the beach, fishing and being involved in MMA activities.
